Common Inherited Heart Diseases and Symptoms

1. Familial Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
It is a common inherited heart condition that can affect people of any age. This disease can thicken part or all of the heart muscle, and it can even lead to sudden death in severe cases.
Due to thickening, the pressure inside the left ventricle might get increase, and because of this, you may feel short of breath. You may also be at risk for an abnormal heartbeat.`
2. Familial Dilated Cardiomyopathy
This disease can affect both sides of the heart and cause the heart to become weak and thin. In addition, as the muscle stretches, the affected chamber becomes enlarged and makes the heart pump blood with difficulty. This can lead to a heart attack.

3. Familial Hypercholesterolemia
Familial hypercholesterolemia is an inherited cause of coronary heart disease and can narrow your arteries. Ignoring it can lead to a stroke or a heart attack. You might have High LDL if you have this disease.
If your high cholesterol is due to family hereditary, then you can have symptoms at a very young age. For example, some people might have a heart attack in their early 20s.
